1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Information processed

SayThis processes the following information when you use the app:

• Account information: Supabase user ID and, when you connect Google or Apple, the email address and profile information returned by that provider. The app also supports an anonymous guest account with no email address.
• Learning information: The situation text you submit, selected learning level and politeness, generated Korean lessons, translations, romanizations, explanations, example conversations, saved lessons, favorites, and review progress.
• Usage and entitlement records: AI request status, the account's free generation allowance, credit balance, rewarded-ad count, subscription status and expiry, purchase transaction references, and account-merge or transfer records needed to deliver and protect the service.
• Installation protection token: The app creates a random installation token and stores it in the platform secure store. The server stores only its SHA-256 hash to prevent repeated first-time free-trial claims. It is not a hardware identifier, advertising ID, IDFA, or IDFV.
• Local app data: The app caches lessons, quota, review progress, queue data, and preferences on the device. Text-to-speech is performed locally by the operating system; recorded voice is not uploaded by SayThis.
• Service metadata: Supabase, Google Gemini, Google Mobile Ads, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play may process IP address, device, operating-system, app-version, diagnostic, fraud-prevention, and transaction metadata as part of operating their services. SayThis does not receive or store payment card numbers.

The app does not currently include a separate analytics or advertising profiling SDK. On iOS, the app may request App Tracking Transparency before a rewarded ad is loaded. Rewarded ads are provided by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob); AppLovin is not used by the current build.

1.2 How information is used

We use this information to:

• generate and save Korean learning lessons;
• provide text-to-speech playback, review, favorites, and synchronization;
• create and maintain guest and connected accounts;
• enforce free allowances, ad rewards, credit usage, and subscription access;
